Later on, we ended up going to Coit tower, where it had a beautiful view of the San Francisco city. I'll post up the pictures after all this nonsense that I am typing haha. It was $7 to get to the top of the Coit Tower and I'll tell you, it was my first time up there literally and the view was astonishing! The clouds made it more dramatic and more angelic. As if the heavens itself was just above the city, floating majestically as it's sun rays blazes through the clouds shining the whole city with magic effects. Yeah... After the trip, we went through Market street and through Castro to get to Twin peaks. By the time we got to the end of Castro, the road was blocked by a bunch of queers dressed in... Well you know, Castro Street. Home of the Queers, Fags, and Gays. It delayed our trip to the twin peaks so we never got up there, and decided to just say EFF it, we're going to Sausalito. As we near our trip to the Golden Gate Bridge, my in-laws gazes with excitement as I have shivers down my spine. We got up to the mountain where you get to see the beautiful view of the Golden gate bridge. As we descend down from the mountain of Sausalito, we went through the port city of Sausalito and through it, back on to the highway and on our way home to Ghetto Vallejo.
Here are the picture of my wife and her Family. At first, I didn't think it would be a big deal, but coming from a place where theres NO filipino delicacy anywhere thats famous in the Philippines, I guess it is to die for and savor every last bite. lol. Jeff having his first Jollybee meal in a long long time. You can tell he's very excited lol. The winner. lol stuffed himself too much, he skipped lunch and wait straight for dinner. haha. The trip to Our Lady of Peace. My in-laws are happy to see such a big statue of Mother Mary. Pray for us every day! Manuel, Jeff, Megan and I just hanging out. Not a lot of sea lions today...Monday, October 3, 2011
A Tour around San Francisco
Alright, where should I start? Well I picked up my in laws from the airport on October 1, 2011 around 2pm. Let me tell you, having to drive through San Francisco for people who hasn't been to the city, haven't seen the ocean, nor haven't seen anything spectacular like San Francisco, I am not gonna lie, it gives me shivers when they get all excited. I don't know why, I don't know how, it's just the fact that they get so amazed is a good thing. lol don't ask. Anyway, so the plan is that before we leave the Bay area on October 6, Ilene and I had planned out so many things for my in laws, everything was set. Unfortunately, it had to rain, on the next following 2 days after they landed. Before the rain, 2 weeks of hot and sweaty summer was just around, now that they're here, it rains!? How bad timing. So instead, we end up going to places like Santa Clara for Our Lady of Peace, then off to Embarcadero street where we met up with my brother Manuel, Pearl and Megan. It was great at the Embarcadero Street (Pier 39), a small show with a bakla (gay) doing performances and site seeing off of the port where the sea lions were. Not a lot of sea lions though. We went on to Pier Market where we usually eat for Clam Chowder. Ended up getting Fish and Chips and really regretting it cause the breading reminded me of the Corn Dog bread, cept it was crispy. Nasty. No thanks! The Cod itself was good though! lol.
